Just 2 hours north of Sydney is the beautiful coastal hamlet of Hawks Nest. Gateway to the Myall lakes national park, this region has stunning waterways ideal for recreational fishing, boating and kayaking, as well as beautiful natural attractions including an outstanding surf beach with pristine white sand known as Bennett's Beach, a dazzling bay beach overlooking Port Stephens and many walking tracks and 4WD tracks to name a few.

Bennett's by the beach is across the road from the main ocean beach and a short drive or an ambling walk to Jimmy’s Beach on Port Stephens bay.

The magical Myall Lakes National Park is minutes drive away where there is plenty to explore including coastal and rainforest walks, 4WD beach access and the stunning Mungo Brush beach as well as the magnificent Lake and Broadwater waterway with plenty of picnic spots and places to fish or launch your boat, kayak, Jetski etc..

This is a magical small town that beholds numerous local attractions to explore, you will feel so far away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet it is only 2 hours from Sydney and under an hour from Newcastle.
