Hawks Nest and it’s sister town of Tea Gardens have several delightful dining options and bars to choose from. Whether you are after take-away or fresh seafood to eat at home or the beach to casual dining with many cafes and clubs to fine dining with a view, this region has it all.
Treat yourself to some local oysters or seafood from the Oyster Hut or seafood co-op or dine-in at one of the many waterfront establishments in Tea Gardens on the river. For a more casual treat, share fish & chips with the kids and the local pelicans on the wharf or at the beach or you can even catch the ferry from Tea Gardens to Nelson bay and try some of the many waterfront restaurants on the other side of the bay.

Distance - 900m, 5 minute flat walk
The Hawks Nest group of shops offers an array of dining options with restaurants including Indian & Chinese as well as cafes, a bakery and take-away shops. There is also a pharmacy, newsagent, IGA and a bottle shop.

Take-Away and Other dining options
Tea Gardens has several other dining and take-away options with a Seafood Co-op and an Oyster Hut both located on Marine Drive for the freshest of local seafood. There is also Hook n Cook, a takeaway shop offering fish & chip & burgers as well as other cafes and a Thai on Myall street.
